Bob’s Best Wheatgrass powder is made from the young shoots of the well known cereal crop. They are harvested when they are about 10 days old and at their nutritional peak. Within 1-6 hours of harvest they are dehydrated and milled into powder.

The nutritional content of young wheat shoots is off the scale. Wheatgrass protein contains 19 of the 22 amino acids, including all eight essential amino acids (those the body can’t make for itself), several hundred different enzymes not found in other foods and as many as 92 out of 102 possible minerals, vitamins and other important nutrients found in soil.

Wheatgrass is also rich in vitamins, including A, B1, 2, 3, 5, 6, 8, B12, C, E and K. It is richer in vitamin C than orange, and twice as abundant in vitamin A as carrot. It also contains chlorophyll.
